Dumfries and Galloway have taken delivery of 2 new EVM Community Low Floor sprinters from EVM’s Sales office in Crawley, Three Bridges, West Sussex.
The Sprinter is based on the Euro 6 516 Cdi 163BHP Common Rail Direct Injection diesel engine. Transmission is a 7 Speed G Tronic automatic gear box with Blue Effiency, and the exterior is Dumfries and Galloway Livery.
EVMs 120cm Double leaf rapid sliding powered entry door with external emergency release. Lightweight fold out ramp at entry door for wheel chair access.
Original glazed Mercedes Benz 270 degree hinge doors.
EVM panoramic double glazed saloon side windows. Original Mercedes-Benz front windscreen and glass top roof.
In dash air conditioning. Saloon heating with heater booster. Vehtec saloon convector heaters in two locations.
Mercedes-Benz Sound 15 with 6” head up display – Radio/SD. Reversing camera with night vision displaying on Audio 15 head unit. Saloon speakers integrated in roof.
The Saloon features 16 Interline fixed back M2 seats with hip restraints to aisle side of all seats. Finished in moquette with leather head rests. Wheelchair backboard behind driver with safety belt.
EVM body moulded side skirts in matching vehicle colour. Destination equipment fitted to the exterior.
As with all EVM minibus’s the vehicle is completed to European whole vehicle type approval and comes with full 3 year Mercedes-Benz Unlimited mileage Chassis Warranty.
About the Customer:
Dumfries and Galloway Council provide access to community transport for those living in rural areas. Many of their constituents don’t have access to mainline public transport and can become quite isolated. The new community sprinters will help deliver the councils mandate of giving access to all amenities for all its constituents.
Chris Jeakins of HW Pickerell Ltd was the lead in helping the council decide on the best route for their transportation needs. Chris stated that EVM’s ability to provide a slick solution and design was the main factor in helping them to make the decision to choose EVM
