DMRC take delivery of their new Avantgarde Accessible minibus to transport serving military patients. A huge congratulations to George and the team, we are thrilled to see it in action!

Chassis:
The Sprinter is based on the Euro 6 517 CDI extra-long wheel base with Common Rail Direct Injection diesel engine. Transmission is a 9 speed automatic gear box, and the exterior is finished in the DMRC colours with a full livery complete.

Passenger Entry:
Access is via a New Masats plug Type entry door with a manual emergency release and a key lock facility. The entrance features an EVM integrated three stage entry step with LED strip lights and stainless steel inserts.

Glazing:
This model features EVM Panoramic double-glazed saloon windows in privacy grey. The Avantgarde has an original Mercedes Benz windscreen and a glass panoramic roof with sliding blinds.

Boot:
To access the rear a PLS under floor wheelchair lift has been fitted with tracking to accommodate a wheelchair.

Climate Control:
The Avantgarde is fitted with an Eberspacher EV814 14KW saloon air conditioning ducted through luggage racks, exciting through passenger service units.

Entertainment:
The saloon speakers and LED night lights are integrated in passenger service units. There are 10 USB charging points fitted at each side and every row. Finally, there is a reversing camera with a 7” touch screen display.

Seating:
The Avantgarde has EVM Executive class 110 reclining Seats. These are fitted with 3-point seat belts and aisle folding arm rests, reclining back rest and finished in real leather.

Flooring:
This vehicle is complete with hard wearing wood effect Tarabus non-slip flooring and a centre isle carpet with brass button finish.

Exterior Styling:
This Avantgarde features an EVM colour coded side mouldings, front grill, rear wrap around bumper and EVM side skirts. This is all complimented with a chrome styling package.

Warranty:
As with all EVM minibus’s the vehicle is completed to European whole vehicle type approval and comes with full 3-year Mercedes-Benz Unlimited mileage chassis warranty.

About the Customer:

The Defence Medical Rehabilitation Centre Benevolent Fund is a volunteer-run charity that provides funding to support holistic, occupational and social integration opportunities for serving military patients at DMRC Stanford Hall, that are not provided by public funding.

As part of patients’ rehabilitation journey, it is essential that, in coming to terms with the impact of their illness or injury, patients regain their confidence in being able to attend social gatherings and engage with day to-day activities that reflect their normal life. The rehabilitation benefits are enormous, providing a much-needed boost of motivation and morale, while also allowing them to forget about their injuries and recovery for a few hours.
