Master Technician PSV LCV HGV

Job Purpose – As part of our expansion with the introduction of the Isuzu Bus and Coach range into the UK and Northern Irish Market, EVM UK are excited to be looking for a Master Technician to join our passionate team.

As our Master Technician you will lead our technical support and diagnostics for the range of products we offer. This will involve fault diagnostics and warranty repair procedures on all new vehicles in the full EVM / Isuzu range.

Your role will include, although not be limited to:

  • Visiting customer sites
  • After sales support to customers
  • Supporting HQ pdi procedures and stock vehicle requirements
  • Diagnosis of electrical and mechanical issues
  • Undertaking diagnostics and repairs on vehicle electric systems including upcoming electric vehicle range
  • Undertaking factory training
  • Utilising factory training and sharing the knowledge within the UK support network and aiding the creation of operator and dealer training

The Package

  • Competitive Salary , plus £120.00 per week on-call payment (every 3rd week)
  • Company Vehicle – Fully expensed
  • Permanent contract with full time hours Monday to Thursday 8 am to 5 pm Friday 8 am to 3 pm
  • ½ hour lunch
  • Travel time expected within your paid salary unless outside a 10.5 hour day (inc. lunch)
  • Base – HQ Horsham
  • 20 + 8 days holiday.
  • Statutory Sick Pay.

Knowledge & Experience

Our Requirements – Master Technician

  • Proven experience in vehicle diagnostics, rectification, inspection and servicing.
  • Experience in using IT for technical research, assistance and problem solving.
  • Ability to work in a team and contribute technician development ideas
  • Professional communication and interpersonal
  • Proactive and self-motivated, with an organised approach to work
  • Experience in operating OEM Manufacturer diagnostic equipment
  • Ability to communicate in a professional manner with customers and other company employees.
  • Flexible, enthusiastic individual who is self-motivated and able to work well under their own initiative.
  • Experience in HV/EV systems

You will also be required to become part of the on-call team (responding to out of hours warranty telephone support calls every 1 in 3 weeks)
